Prior to founding Muddy Waters, Mr. Block's diverse background included entrepreneurship and law practice in Shanghai, China. His academic credentials include a B.S. in business from the University of Southern California and a J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law.

Robert joined Muddy Waters in 2020 as the Head of Vietnam, later relocating to Ho Chi Minh in 2021. Prior to Muddy Waters, he founded and managed Bucephalus Research in Hong Kong. With over 25 years of research and investing experience in Asia, including roles at Fortress Investment and Deephaven Capital Management, he also served as a director on the sell side for Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong. His academic background includes studying accountancy at London Guildhall University and passing the Chartered Institute of Management Accountancy (CIMA) exams.

Having joined Muddy Waters in 2014, Freddy is a partner and brings valuable expertise to the team in investing throughout Asia. Prior to this role, he served as an equity analyst at Oasis Investments Ltd. in Hong Kong. He holds a B.A. in Finance, Accounting, and Management from the University of Nottingham, England.

Before joining Muddy Waters in 2016, Scott held key positions, serving as the CFO and CCO at Ratan Capital Management, LP. Additionally, he co-founded and served as the CFO at First Oak Capital Management, LP. With over 25 years of experience, his expertise encompasses financial leadership roles. He earned a B.S. in Accounting from the State University of New York, New Paltz.
